This itinerary will take you to Colombia’s thriving capital, Bogota, where you will visit the Salt Cathedral. Your journey continues into the Amazon for a couple of days of jungle experience before showing you the delights of Colombia’s Coffee Triangle. This itinerary ends in Armenia, the capital of the Department of Quindío a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2011: the Coffee Culture Landscape of Colombia.

Day 1: Arrive Bogota
On arrival into Bogota transfer to your hotel and have the remainder of the day at leisure to enjoy this vibrant city. Overnight Bogota.
Day 2: Bogota Sightseeing
This morning enjoy a half day city tour of the capital city – Bogota. This panoramic tour is set in the historical centre of Bogota where you will visit the San Ignacio Church, the Narino Presidential Palace , the Bolivar square, Cathedral and much more given you a great insight to the Colombian heritage. The remainder of the day at leisure. Bogota is also renowned for great shops and open air cafes. Overnight Bogota.
Day 3: Bogota Sightseeing
After breakfast enjoy a half day tour of the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquira, 49
kilometers away from the city of Bogota. Journey through the northern part of
Bogota, the Sabana countryside and ‘El Puente de Comun’. Upon arrival into
Zipaquira enter the salt Cathedral a very unique underground Roman Catholic
church built within the tunnels of a salt mine and 200meters below the surface. It’s
an incredible site to visit while listening to your guide on the Colombian religious
beliefs and traditions. After visiting the underground salt cathedral take a small
tour around the colonial town of Zipaquira before returning to Bogota Remainder
of the day at leisure. Overnight Bogota
Day 4: Amazon Jungle
This morning board a flight to Letica. Letica is in the Southern most point of
Colombia and is home to the Amazon Jungle. It’s a very isolated town, with brightly painted houses, outdoor café’s and restaurants and easy to get around streets. Upon your arrival you have the remainder of the day to enjoy the small town of Letica and soak in that Amazon feeling. Overnight Letica
Day 5: Amazon Jungle Sightseeing
After breakfast enjoy a full day tour of the Amazon Jungle. Travel along the Amazon river in a private boat then a short walk through the national park to see the unique flora and flauna this unique area has to offer. Travelling throughout this area is very peaceful only hearing the voices of the native amazon animals in the background. Overnight Letica.
Day 6: Amazon Jungle Sightseeing
Another adventure up the Amazon river is included today. After breakfast take a journey up the Amazon river to the Peruvian stream, then entering the Peruvian national park for ta walking tour through the rainforest. This rainforest is filled with an abundance of butterflies, monkeys and birds only native to the area. Reaching the Lake Marasha you can observe the distinctive species of birds, amazing waterlilies as well as seeing a piranha or two in the lake. Overnight Letica
Day 7: Amazon Jungle to Armenia
This morning transfer to the airport to board a flight to Armenia – home of the coffee plantations. Upon arrival into Armenia transfer to your hotel and have the remainder of the day at leisure. Overnight Armenia
Day 8: Coffee Plantations of Armenia
Columbia is famous for coffee and today is your chance to experience Columbia’s finest exports and visit a working coffee plantation. This tour starts off in the town of chinchina in the Caldas department travelling through the endless coffee fields. Upon arriving at the coffee plantation you will begin with an interactive tour of the coffee making process and a walk through of the whole plant taking in each process of creating coffee. The remainder of the day at leisure to enjoy the atmosphere Armenia has to offer. Overnight Armenia.
Day 9 – Armenia
Today you will have a whole day to explore Armenia on your own. Exploring the lush coffee plantations, outdoor activities and hiking in the Andes are the main activities in Colombia’s Coffee Country. There’s plenty of outdoor activities available, including mountain biking, rafting and zip wiring in this scenic region of Colombia. Whatever you choose, we will be able to arrange it for you. Day 10 – Armenia
Your Amazon & Coffee Experience concludes after breakfast with your transfer to the airport.
