Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Santiago, transfer to Valparaiso

Today you will be transferred from the airport to Valparaiso. The remainder afternoon is at your leisure. Overnight in Valparaiso.

Day 2: Full Day Casablanca Valley & Valparaiso sightseeing

Wine tastingDuring the past decade the Casablanca Valley rapidly became Chile’s most important grape-growing valley for the production of premium white wine. As part of this excursion, you will enjoy a tour and tasting at one of the many boutique wineries that are part of this flourishing wine route. The journey will then continue towards Viña del Mar, a resort city founded in 1874, famous for its beautiful gardens and flower clock. Then go on to Valparaiso, the oldest and most important port of Chile. Valparaiso’s picturesque layout is enhanced by the surrounding hills that seem to dive into the ocean, reminding us that this was once the most important maritime destination of the Pacific coast before the Strait of Panama was opened to navigation in 1914. Walk down the city’s winding streets and enjoy the beautiful scenery before you return to your hotel. Overnight in Valparaiso.

Day 3: Curacavi Valley and Isla Negra

valparaisoToday you will go to the coast on the 68 route through Curacaví, an important agricultural valley, in order to reach the beautiful San Antonio Valley just a few kilometres from Valparaiso. Here, you will visit Matetic Vineyard, learn about the entire wine-making process while visiting the facilities and of course participate in a delightful wine tasting. We will continue our tour to Isla Negra village on the coast, where we will visit the house of the famous poet Pablo Neruda, Chilean literature Nobel Prize winner in 1971. His house, overlooking the sea, was built as an escape from the bustle of Santiago city. He came here for inspiration, to invite friends and to write. The house keeps many things he collected during many years, like antique bottles, Indian masks and nautical artifacts. There will be a guided tour through the museum and the surrounding areas. In the evening return to your hotel. Overnight in Valparaiso.

Day 4: Depart Valparaiso

Today you have the morning at leisure or take the transfer back to the airport in Santiago.
