After arriving to the capital of San Jose, spend a day visiting the nearby Poas Volcano and La Paz Waterfall before heading to Arenal Volcano National Park for the next two nights. Explore the lush tropical forests on guided hikes and then relax in the lovely geo thermal baths are heated naturally from the volcano.
Next continue on to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve with over 13 kms of trails through forest that is home to over 500 bird species, 120 species of reptiles and amphibians, and more than 3000 plants including the highest diversity of orchids in the world.
